In spring 1990, Stefan Diepenbrock from West Berlin got his pilot's licence at the Schönhagen airfield in the GDR. He wasn't the only Western trainee pilot to do so. And thanks to the general confusion at the time, it was possible to have the pilot's licence accredited in the Federal Republic.
