Magdeburg 1989/90 and 2005/06: At Ulrichsplatz in Magdeburg [12/12]
Werner Klapper photographed sites in Magdeburg in 1989/90. 15 years later he photographed them again from the same perspective, using the same lens and focal distance.

"Starting in November 1996, the Ulrichhaus building is erected on the West side of the Breiter Weg. In only 15 months, 18,000 square meters of usable floor space were created, half of which for retailers. The house was opened in March 1998, requiring the fountain to be moved westwards."
