The Reichstag on the night of the opening celebrations for the new Brandenburg Gate border crossing. Hundreds of camera teams and over 100,000 people attended the opening, presided over by former Chancellor Helmut Kohl and the chairman of the GDR Council of Ministers, Hans Modrow.
